What is a Disabled Facilities Grant?
A Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) is a means-tested grant from your local council in England to help pay for changes to a home so a disabled person can live there more safely and independently. The grant is administered by your local council under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.
Do I apply through this website?

Who decides the grant?
Your local council decides whether to award a Disabled Facilities Grant. The decision is usually informed by an Occupational Therapist (OT) assessment and a means test.

What if I rent my home?
